E-commerce websites can vary dramatically depending on the specific requirements, from a start up business needing something very simple and cost effective to an international online retailer.
We can deliver a basic site with a limited number of products (and budget), that may only require Paypal checkout in order to take a simple payment, cost effectively to get you started. Whereas a more complex site may require a full shopping cart experience. There may be additional requirements including integrations with inventory systems, couriers and more.
Plexus were at the forefront of moving from a high upfront CAPEX model to delivering e-commerce websites as a service (OPEX model). We recognised early on the need for a more comprehensive, inclusive and on-going service, as opposed to simply completing a project and handing it over, allowing it to become out of date. This is even more important with e-commerce as they inevitably require more support and frequent changes.
Not on Your Own
We are with you all the way, from initial project delivery to helping develop and evolve your site. You are not left to your own devices to populate or mange your website, that’s what we are here for. Of course for those clients that are inclined, every one of our packages also comes with full content management.
We have experience across a wide range of Open Source platforms including; WooCommerce, OpenCart, Magento, to building fully bespoke solutions. Our team can advise on the most appropriate route based on your business goals, objectives and budgets.
Why choose us
We work in true partnership being accountable for everything we do. We do not believe in making things sticky for customers or hiding behind contracts, we simply want a relationship that works both ways. If we do not deliver then why should you be held to a contract? We are a monthly pay as you go service that you can turn off, on or scale both up or down at a moment’s notice.
Due to the nature of e-commerce and variation in requirements we do not offer standard packages. Each solution is tailored to your specific requirements, including the design, platform, integrations, payment gateway to the level of support you need, depending on your own in-house expertise.
We can deliver a website that will convert your visitors into paying customers. However, no matter how good the website is, without a marketing strategy to drive traffic to your website, the simple answer is no it won’t.
With a e-commerce website there are lots of things to consider beyond a normal website. After the initial transaction how will you manage stock and logistics? For example do you need to integrate with third party stock systems or courier platforms or will the website be standalone.
